TV Comedy Star Jason Manford to come to Hawick this Summer

Live Borders have chosen Hawick Town Hall as the venue for what they hope will be their biggest comedy show of the year.

The award-winning and nationally acclaimed comedian Jason Manford is swapping the London Palladium for Hawick Town Hall when he comes to the town with his brand-new live show A Manford All Seasons. He’s a household name from his numerous television appearances over the years and well known for his Sunday morning show on Absolute Radio.

Due to ticket demand Jason Manford has added over 90 additional dates to his national tour and Hawick is one of them. A Manford All Seasons is Jason Manford’s latest show, which has been receiving standing ovations from audiences. Jason Manford said, “I’m absolutely blown away by the response to this tour so far. I love touring and bringing some chuckles in these difficult times and so adding these dates means I can see even more of you all over the country.”

Described as a comedian ‘blessed with the sort of laid-back charm and sharp turn of phrase you can’t manufacture’ by Daily Telegraph, ‘Engaging and Witty’ by The Sunday Times and ‘Effortlessly entertaining’ by the Evening Standard, this show will be a must see for comedy fans.

“Our biggest comedy shows so far have been Jim Smith in Hawick Town Hall back in May 2023 and the Stars of Still Game last year” Jason Moyes, Head of Arts & Creativity at Live Borders told The Hawick Paper this week. “Every comedian who comes to Hawick, to the Town Hall or Heart of Hawick, tells us how great the audience has been, we are looking forward to giving Jason Manford a good Hawick welcome.”

‘Starstruck’ (ITV1), ‘Unbeatable’ (BBC One), ‘Big Night of Musicals’ (BBC One), ‘The National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash’ (ITV1), ‘First & Last’ (BBC One), ‘The Masked Singer’ (ITV1), ‘What Would Your Kid Do?’ (ITV1), ‘Olivier Awards’ (ITV1), ‘Scarborough’ (BBC One), ‘8 out of 10 Cats’ (Channel 4), ‘The Nightly Show’ (ITV1), ‘Sunday Night at the Palladium’ (ITV1), ‘Live at the Apollo’ (BBC One), ‘Have I Got News For You’, (BBC One), QI (BBC Two) and ‘The Royal Variety Performance’ (ITV1) have all helped establish Jason as a nationally known comic.
