Peebles Library, Museum & Gallery is proud to announce the grand opening of its new Artisan Gift Shop.

Peebles Library, Museum & Gallery is proud to announce the grand opening of its new Artisan Gift Shop, celebrating the creative talents and craftsmanship of local artisans, manufacturers, and small businesses. The shop offers a curated selection of unique arts and crafts, ranging from hand-carved woodwork and intricate ceramics to beautifully woven textiles and locally produced skincare products. With a strong emphasis on quality, creativity, and sustainability, the shop is designed to support the thriving local creative community while offering visitors a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

The Artisan Gift Shop not only showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Peebles area but also serves as a platform for artisans to reach a wider audience. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore and purchase items that reflect the diverse artistic expressions of the region, including contemporary art, traditional crafts, and bespoke goods. By supporting small businesses and local makers, the shop aims to promote the unique identity of the area and foster a deeper connection between the community and its artistic heritage.

Phoebe Stewart Assistant Curator for Live Borders Museums and Galleries Said:

“In addition to the gift shop, Peebles Library, Museum & Gallery continues to offer a vibrant array of exhibitions, workshops, and events that celebrate the arts and local heritage. The opening of the Artisan Gift Shop is part of the venue’s ongoing commitment to nurturing creativity and supporting local artists.”

The public is invited to join in the festivities of the grand opening, on Saturday 22nd March which will allow visitors an opportunity to meet some of the makers behind the products. The shop opens on Saturday 22 March for visitors, and we look forward to welcoming you to this exciting new addition to the Peebles Library, Museum & Gallery.
