Gyms and Pools can reopen from 31 August
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced that swimming pools and gyms will be able to reopen on Monday 31 August.
The First Minister brought this date forward two weeks, with the indicative date being Monday 14 September.
Live Borders CEO, Ewan Jackson, was delighted following the announcement on Thursday.
“The First Ministers announcement yesterday permitting swimming pools and indoor sports facilities to be brought forward to 31 August was a most welcome piece of news,” he said.
“I am working now with the team here at Live Borders and our partners at Scottish Borders Council on preparation to welcome you back.
“There is lots to do and we will have plenty of information to share with you over the next few weeks, so please look out for our updates.
“In the meantime, keep your eye on our social media platforms and our website and please take a look at what to we are working on and what to expect to ensure both your and our staff’s stay safe whilst visiting a Live Borders venue.”
Live Borders will be in contact with members over the coming weeks so that they are fully informed of changes to procedures before returning to any facilities.
