Health Conditions
The Live Borders Health Programme supports clients living with a wide range of long-term health conditions to improve and manage symptoms while also increasing your quality of life. Introducing physical activity to your lifestyle can also reduce the chance of many further health conditions in the future.
Our range of Health Conditions classes are designed to be adaptable, so they are suitable for a range of abilities and needs, and are a great introduction to the gym and exercise environment. The Health Conditions Circuits classes and Health Yoga are instructor lead while our Supported Gym Sessions provide the opportunity to work through your own gym programme with the comfort of having one of our qualified Health Instructors on hand to provide any advice or assistance you may need.
Health Conditions Circuits | These classes have a series of different stations where you work for a short period of time before moving on. Each station will have options to suit your ability. Circuits classes allow you to work at your own pace and level. |
Supported gym session | These session will be based in the gym, and provide an opportunity to work through your own programme with the support of the instructor on hand as and when needed. These sessions are ideal for those new to the gym environment.
Inductions and tailored gym programmes will be provided by the Health Instructor. |
Health Yoga | These sessions are led by our highly qualified yoga instructors Elaine and Angela, they have a depth of knowledge and experience of dealing with participants with varying long-term health conditions. Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility and these classes can be completed seated or standing. |
As our Health Conditions classes are part of our Health Programme a referral from your health professional is required in order to attend.
The classes cost just £5 or are free with the Exercise Referral membership.
