Bringing life to local community venues
Borders Live Touring
On Monday 17 May 2021 we moved to Level 2 under the Scottish Governments new structure of local Covid protection levels.
As we move to Level 2 restrictions we will re-open services under the phases we published on 14 April – details of this can be found (here – https://www.liveborders.org.uk/book/coronavirus/ ).
Borders LIVE Touring
Borders LIVE Touring is a rural touring scheme working with mainly volunteer promoters, community-based halls and venues bringing high quality, live, professional performances to Scottish Borders communities. Rural communities can access local and national professional companies producing diverse, creative, accessible and thought-provoking theatre, dance, music and children’s performances and workshops.
The scheme offers programming subsidies to reduce financial risk and actively engages with predominantly volunteer promoters by working together to market live performances, providing support to attend training and networking opportunities both locally and nationally, and enabling them to sample inspiring performances, for example, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival via the ‘Go and See’ fund.
The scheme provides:
- Advice
- Ideas
- Funding for performances
- Networking
- Training
- Marketing assistance
- ‘Go and See’ fund
