All Things Equine: A Celebration of The Horse in Poetry
A not to be missed event for all equine and poetry enthusiasts. At the height of the Borders’ Common Riding Season, enjoy an evening of the best-loved equine poetry ever written- with poems by Edwin Muir, D.H. Lawrence, John Betjeman, Mary Oliver and W.H. Ogilvie. (Presented by Fiona McDonald-Colton, with readings by Julian Colton.)

Isn’t It Byronic?- Lord Byron: Rock Star Poet
Just when you thought you knew everything there is to know about Lord Byron, the original Rantin’ Rovin’ Romantic… Readings from his poetry, letters and memoirs will reveal the fascinating life-story and work of a leading voice of the Romantic Movement. (Presented by Fiona McDonald-Colton, with readings by Julian Colton.)

Cast a Cold Eye: Poetry of W.B. Yeats
A selection of glorious lyrical verse written by William Butler Yeats, of one of Ireland’s greatest-ever poets. (Presented with readings by Julian Colton)

Wild and Wonderful: The Natural World in Poetry
From Armadillos to Zephyrus, the West Wind! Join us for a special evening of poems inspired by nature in all its forms. (Presented with readings, by Julian Colton.)

Gothic, Ghostly and Gruesome Tales: Halloween at Scott’s Courtroom, Selkirk
After last year’s acclaimed Halloween extravaganza, dare to return to Scott’s Courtroom for more bone-chilling poetry, terrifying tales and haunting Halloween atmospherics. (Presented, with readings, by Julian Colton and Fiona McDonald-Colton.)
