The cost-of-living crisis is making it increasingly difficult for those in need to access activities and participate in exercise, and we don’t want anyone to miss out on vital health and wellbeing services.
You can help by making a donation, and no matter what the amount if you Pay It Forward you will directly support local people of all ages to access and enjoy Live Borders services. With the help of local partners our sports and health teams will identify those who will benefit most from any financial support you can give.

A Pay It Forward initiative in Galashiels Library is supporting craft activity sessions enabling children to express their creativity and encourage shared learning experiences, helping improve communication skills.
Visitors to Gala Pool will be familiar with Live Borders Pay It Forward initiative which encourages donations of £1 or more to help support people of all ages within their community to access Live Borders services. In May 2024, as a result of generous donations at Gala Pool and a community fundraising event in Asda, we were able to offer Borders Additional Needs Group exclusive use of the pool for a sensory play session. This provided an opportunity for members of the group, along with a family member, to participate in physical activity and improve their water confidence and independence in a relaxed and calm environment.
