Nothing Tatty about this Heart of Hawick Theatre Production

A play about the goings on in a tourist trap gift shop on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile is coming to Heart of Hawick.

In Tartan Tat, the staff of Tartan Treasures find themselves at the centre of online controversy that quickly becomes a problem much bigger than the staff, or their little store can handle.

This new comedy from Shark Bait Theatre comes to Heart of Hawick following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe which gained the play 5-star review.

With lots of laugh out loud moments as staff sell tourists Jimmy Hats, highland cows and knock-off wands, the play is interwoven with issues that many young people in particular, can relate to.

Shark Bait Theatre wowed audiences at their last visit to Heart of Hawick with their play ‘The Rejects.’  They say that Tartan Tat is about community, comradery, and novelty keyrings, and are looking forward to performing again in Hawick.
