GALASHIELS LIBRARY
Throughout 2024, the Pay It Forward initiative in Galashiels Library supported craft activity sessions enabling children to express their creativity and encourage shared learning experiences, helping improve communication skills.
GALASHIELS SWIMMING POOL
Visitors to Gala Pool will be familiar with Live Borders Pay It Forward initiative which encourages donations of £1 or more to help support people of all ages within their community to access Live Borders services. In May 2024, as a result of generous donations at Gala Pool and a community fundraising event in Asda, we were able to offer Borders Additional Needs Group exclusive use of the pool for a sensory play session. This provided an opportunity for members of the group, along with a family member, to participate in physical activity and improve their water confidence and independence in a relaxed and calm environment.
HAWICK
Pay it forward is appearing around Hawick at Teviotdale Leisure Centre, Heart of Hawick and Hawick Library.
Look out for the logo and where possible, please donate to support people of all ages to access swim, cinema experiences and craft activities at Live Borders sites.
