Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site.
Cookies allow a website to ‘remember’ you, either for the length of your visit (using a ‘session cookie’) or for repeat visits (using a ‘persistent cookie’). Cookies make your website visit faster and easier. If a website doesn’t use cookies, it will think you are a new visitor every time you move to a new page on the site – for example, when you enter your login details and move to another page it won’t recognise you and it won’t be able to keep you logged in.
What do we use cookies for?
We use ‘session cookies’ to collect anonymous visitor statistics using Google Analytics. Any of the information collected from your visit will help us understand who our visitors are and what their interests are.
We also use a cookie to store details about your location if you’ve opted in to this functionality. The cookie contains your devices coordinates, which we use to check the distance between you and the venues used throughout the site. This functionality is completely optional.
You can read more about this on our privacy page.
How do I change my cookie settings?
Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies, including how to see what cookies have been set and how to manage and delete them, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
To opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites visit http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
