Town Halls across the Borders
We manage a multitude of historic town halls across the Scottish Borders which suit a wide range of occasions and events.
You can request to book by completing the downloadable form, which can be completed digitally or by printing off and returning to us.

Galashiels Old Gala House
Old Gala House is a fine historic building housing museum and art displays which is open seasonally from April to October, in addition to three meeting rooms.
The Scott Room is ideal for wedding receptions and the grounds provide a fine setting for those important photographs recording the day.
More information
There is a small kitchen in the house which hirers are free to make tea, coffee and refreshments. A small coffee shop is run during the summer season.

Galashiels Volunteer Hall
This Hall provides a fine setting for concerts, shows, dinners, dances, weddings, exhibitions, conferences, sales, coffee mornings and other social and community functions. There is a room upstairs which could be used for larger meetings or as an Upper Lounge.

There are retractable tiered seats which give many options for layouts for events. Early booking is advised for weekends. The main hall has a large kitchen-come-bar.
Disabled access to ground floor is by a ramp at side door. There are male, female and disabled toilets.

Hawick Town Hall
A well-appointed hall comprising a main hall and adjacent lesser hall and buffet room. These provide a suitable setting for shows, concerts, dinners, dances, weddings, conferences, meetings, sales, coffee mornings and other community and social functions.
As well as being our largest, this hall has a balcony that surrounds the main hall in a horseshoe shape. It has played host to some fantastic gigs.

Innerleithen Memorial Hall
The Memorial Hall is a picturesque hall set in its own gardens. It has a rear balcony and excellent facilities for concerts, shows, dances, weddings, sales, meetings, coffee mornings and other social and community functions.
The Memorial Hall comes to life during concerts where many well-known artists have performed.

Jedburgh Town Hall
Suitable for shows, concerts, dinners, dances, meetings, sales, coffee mornings and other social and community functions. There is a balcony to the rear of the main hall.
More information
There is a large car park situated right next to the hall opposite Jedburgh Abbey.
There is also a meeting room in the basement next to the kitchen accessible by the stairs.
There are male, female and disabled toilets with disabled access to the main hall only by ramp.

Kelso Tait Hall
An imposing hall with good floor space, a fixed stage and raked seating at the rear. It is suitable for shows, concerts, dinners, dances, weddings and other social and community functions. Downstairs there is a large kitchen. There is also a meeting room.

Lauder Public Hall
Set in the centre of the town, Lauder Public Hall is ideal for dinners, dances, small arts productions and charity events. There are 10 pieces of portable staging which gives scope for concerts or theatrical productions. The kitchen has domestic level cooking facilities; it doubles as a bar and can be used as a small meeting/general purpose room.

Melrose Corn Exchange / Ormiston Institute
Situated in the centre of Melrose, the hall is suitable for shows, concerts, dinners, dances, ceilidhs, weddings, coffee mornings, community and social functions. It also has a badminton court marked out on the floor.

The Corn Exchange is part of the same building; there is direct access between the buildings.

Peebles Burgh Hall
Part of the historic Chambers Institute Complex and set back from the High Street. It is approached through an archway into the courtyard housing the war memorials.
A glazed entrance foyer leads to the main hall, which is suitable for shows, concerts, dinners, dances, ceilidhs, weddings, coffee mornings and other social and community functions. The kitchen provides a small meeting area for 15 people.

Selkirk Victoria Halls
The main hall is situated on the ground floor with extra seating available on the balcony. It is ideal for conferences, exhibitions, meetings, coffee mornings, weddings and other social functions; it has a good bar area and kitchen. There is a small meeting room also on the ground floor and upstairs there is a bright lesser hall accessible by the stairs.

Stow Town Hall
The Main Hall is on the first floor and can be accessed via a lift or stairway. Suitable for dances, dinners, exhibitions, concerts, drama groups, coffee mornings and other social events. There is an adjoining kitchen which is also a suitable area for a bar.

On the ground floor there are three meeting rooms, two of which can be opened up into one larger space. The third room is the Archive Room, open to the public three days a week.

West Linton Graham Institute
The Graham Institute is situated in the centre of West Linton, and while it is an older building, it serves the local community well for a number of purposes including meetings, concerts and small drama productions.
